I just checked out your page along with Apple's and others but cannot find out why my 100baseT is taking forever to transfer files. If you can help me, I would very much appreciate it. Nobody seems to address this issue. I have an iMac and Beige G3 tower both running OS9.1. Using a crossover cable, I've got the data moving, however the approx. 35 GB is wanting to (and IS) taking 20 plus hours to transfer. The network activity monitor is showing nearly idle. I want it PEGGED FULL THROTTLE!! Any idea what is slowing me down? I've had this happen with other Mac to Mac setups. Thanks much, -Preston

I found your tutorial about setting up an ethernet network between a Mac and a PC very useful. I have a Snow iMac and an AMDK76 PC and I want to put them together under my own network. I just have one doubt. Mac OS X makes or helps it be easier?

Thanks.
