Hello reader. There are three parts in this message. Please bear with me.

First, there are a lot of pros and cons about the new OS. I have been using a 6400-200 Performa since 1995 and upgraded to OS9 some time ago. I do have OS 9.1 on CD, but I don't see the need for all the confusion about the items I need and the ones I don't need. (So I didn't up-grade). PS, it was sent to me free--not a pirate copy.

Second, I now have a new source of revenue and am considering a new G4 Mac. The question I have is, Do I need a Dual Processor? I truly do love the speed of the new processors, but I don't know if I need the speed of a Dual Processor? I only surf the web for new ideas and programs and learn what's offered. I'm a great believer in shareware. PS, there is NO cable network (of any kind) or DirecTV (for Macintosh) in my area.

Third, the MAIN question is, in order to insure your e-zine gets the credit for the sale, when I finally buy the computer, how do I do this?

Your answer will truly encourage my ordering.

I'll say this at the offset, It's a real shame Apple can't provide a useful internet service for their older patrons who are the users that built the whole structure to start with!

Regards.

If you mainly surf the Web, you probably don't need a dual-processor. However, if you use a lot of programs at once, or use a program that can take advantage of dual processors, they really are great.

To give ATPM credit for the sale, you need to buy through one of the links on this page. That is, click the link, add to the shopping cart, and buy without typing in the URL of the online store yourself.

Is there a driver that allows an ADB Wacom tablet to work using Mac OS X? I have an iMate and the Wacom works fine on OS 9.

You can find the driver for the Wacom on the Mac OS X download page.
