Wishful Thinking

by tygriffin, tygriffin@aol.com

A great Apple ad would simply go around the country (or world) showing what people are doing with their Macs. As a subscriber to the Evangelist, I hear stories everyday about Buddist Monks or a bakery or a radio station that is 100% Mac controlled. Imagine a commercial, where the guy controlling the Goodyear Blimp, or some city's traffic control system is using a Mac. Or... Apple could go to the graphic design company that does the "Intel Inside" commercials. I hear they were done on Macs...

Perhaps Apple has been reading our Wishful Thinking section. They recently announced a contest where Mac users can suggest ideas for advertisements. Check out Apple's Dreams Contest page at http://www.dreamscontest.com

[apple graphic] Wishful Thinking is a space for Mac enthusiasts who know exactly what Apple's advertising should be. Did you come up with a great advertising tag line? Have you had a Mac campaign stewing in the back of your mind for a year now? Send your ideas, or your art, to editor@atpm.com

Why doesn't Apple gather all of the commercials and publish them on a DVD which someone could use to evangelize and market to the great "unwashed"?

Good point. Do you know where a Mac can download music? Bearshare is Windows only.
