Very good pictures ... are they shareware?
Lee Bennett (ATPM Staff) · August 20, 2001 - 19:44 EST #3
Les - I don't think "shareware" is the correct term. Perhaps you mean, are they "copyrighted," in which case, the answer is yes. However, because they are posted here as desktop photos, they are free for you to make personal use of. It is illegal to reproduce and sell any of the images without the owner's permission.

Great pics. It's good to see the WTC in its glory one last time.

Maybe now we can put religion back in the schools. Certainly today those children who knew how to pray said a silent prayer for all those suffering families and for all people.
Alicia Welcome · September 11, 2001 - 19:12 EST #8
I just can't believe someone could do something so sick. I sat all day watching the TV and crying. I was glued to my seat speechless for hours then finally I cried out to God and asked why? God knew this would happen today everything happens for a reason but this is to much for my mind to fathom. May God be with the families that are crying for their loved ones today. If I could, I would bring all those people back, but I can't so I leave all things in God's hands. God bless everybody.

Great pictures of the WTC I remember as a kid when I lived in NYC. God bless those who suffered losses as a result of yesterday's tragedy. May we bring to justice those who did it, but not persecute any innocent people because innocent people have suffered enough already. Remember, all are innocent until proven guilty.

Japan's Red Army Claims Responsibility for US Attacks: Al Jazeerah Middle East News Online By Middle East News Online Reporter Posted Tuesday September 11, 2001 - 01:38:29 PM EDT Amman (MENO) - In an unconfirmed report, sources from the Amman offices of Al Jazeerah satellite news channel indicated that a call came in from a caller who was "speaking Arabic with an accent" claimed that the Japanese Red Army is claiming responsibility for today's attacks against U.S. targets in New York and Washington D.C. Middle East News Online has been unable to verify these claims. The communist group said that the attacks came in retaliation for US atomic bombs that killed thousands of Japanese in the World War II in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese Red Army is an international militant group formed around 1970 after breaking away from Japanese Communist League-Red Army Faction. The JRA was led by Fusako Shigenobu until her arrest in Japan in November 2000. The JRA's historical goal has been to overthrow the Japanese Government and monarchy and to help foment world revolution. Earlier today, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine initially took responsibility, but later an official from the organization denied any involvement. Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat condemned the attacks. 2001 Middle East News Online. This news item is distributed via Middle East News Online (MiddleEastWire.com). Sometimes violence IS the answer. Everyone says violence begets violence so we shouldn't retaliate with violence. The way I see it, we did not use violence, nevertheless violence came to us, shouldn't they live by the same rule...shouldn't their violence should beget violence from us. I hate the fact that we are always take the high road...this is not working...how about returning the favor... I think we should level the playing field and a couple square miles of Afghanistan! Let them dig through the rubble to find their loved ones...just so they know exactly what we feel right now. I would like to see Binladin (SP) killed without a trial...without mercy...without dignity! I'm up for torture...how about you?

I am the photographer who took the images of New York City for the January 2001 edition of ATPM. I am living in Setauket at the North Shore of Long Island about one hour from NYC. I was about to leave my home yesterday morning when my roommate told me to switch on the TV. The first plane had just crashed into one of the towers of the WTC. I was still trying to understand what I was seeing when I watched live on the screen how the second plane crashed into the other tower. I was as shocked and terrified as anybody else and spent the following hours watching the news. I feel very sorry for the victims and their families who have to suffer the consequences of those ruthless acts of terrorism. It is sad to see how the pcitures I took about one year ago are suddenly a piece of history. Just about one month ago I was standing on the observatory on top of one of those towers together with a friend of mine who was visiting the city for the first time. Who could have imagined then that it was the last time?
heartbroken New Yorker · September 12, 2001 - 22:32 EST #24
I was just at the World Trade Center over the weekend. I could have never imagined the unspeakable horror that would befall it a few days later. My heart goes out to those lost to this tragedy. It brings me to tears to see my beloved city in ruins, to see the Twin Towers reduced to rubble. I came across this site, looking for pictures of how the World Trade used to look, something to remember their former glory. These pictures are just beautiful. Thank you for sharing them.
Narendra Maharaj · September 13, 2001 - 00:35 EST #25
My office had a beautiful view of the twin towers. I saw both horrible attacks before having to leave. The best man at my wedding (this year) was on the 104 floor of the North Tower, no word from him, he will leave three children, one 5 years old. Years from now after we have rebuild our beautiful city, better than before, we will still miss our loved ones. They have broken our hearts not our spirits. God bless America, God bless New York City, God bless us all.

I was reading my One Year Bible on Tuesday, and here is what it had to say: (Isaiah 8:11-14) "The Lord has said to me in the strongest terms: 'Do not think like everyone else does. Do not be afraid that some plan conceived behind closed doors will be the end of you. Do not fear anything except the Lord Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall...'" (NLV)

The incident has indeed affected everyone in the world. I for one feels that it is a tragic loss to the United States and that the ones responsible for such a hideous crime will be identified.

I'm sure I speak for the majority when I say I am sick over this incident. I am so tired of people who come to this country, rape the land, pillage the souls of American citizens, take, take and take - money, education, jobs, etc....who hate us whilst they're doing this....No one is holding them hostage here. If they hate us so much, get out! If your country's way is so fabulous, GO LIVE THERE!!! GET OUT!!!! NO ONE asked you to come here.

I took these pictures, and therefore I own the copyrights for these pictures. Everybody is free to use those pictures for non-commercial purposes. I never sold the copyrights to a third person nor did I grant somebody any exclusive rights to use any of those pictures. I also have never threatened anybody for using those pictures. I contacted survivorcam and ATPM to clarify the situation. I would like to dedicate these pictures and this page to the victims and their families.
Daniel Chvatik (ATPM Staff) · September 13, 2001 - 21:33 EST #32
We have clarified the misunderstanding with Survivorcam.net. We never intended to sue them, we just wanted to ask them to add proper credit to the image. We would have preferred if they had contacted us before using the image though. In either case, there are more important issues to worry about these days, and all parties are united in solidarity and grief about this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, and we hope that something terrible like this will never occur again.

It is ignorance that lead people to commit this act of terror on innocent Americans on Tuesday. If we in turn retaliate against Arab-Americans in our country, that will lead us back to the beginning of this horrible cycle of violence, and is just plain ignorance on our part. The time for change is here and now, for Humanity to unite on Earth and rid this evil which lurks on the grounds of our Paradise. My deepest condolences to New Yorkers, DC, the families of all who perished on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. May God give us strength, hope and justice, and strengthen the foundation of our America. Last, I'd like to thank our National Security for taking action and keeping the West Coast safe. - Thank You

I was an exchange student in the States for two high school years in the 80's (Minnesota and Texas). I have never considered myself best treated in a foreign country -all around the world in my whole life- as I did in the States during those two years. Actually, I don´t even consider the States a "foreign" country. I consider USA my other home. I learnt to love America, and will always stand up for American people, no matter what. I´ve been to NY many times, but just to switch flights. One of my "dreams" was to spend a whole week in NY, and get to know Manhattan, as it was. Well, the most important thing, of course, are the lives of so many people, but the have also broken little individual dreams of many. All my support, best wishes and love. God bless America

All my thought will go towards all the helplessness victims, all the families and all american people. I wish that this humanity crime will go punish. We must unite ourself to fight the human's madness. And when a cause is just, people can move mountains. The terrorism couldn't win, the life is so beautiful.

I spoke with a worker in the WTC and he said to me, he will never forget the horror of Tuesday, but, one thing he will always remember is the strength of the ground support personel. The firefighter's, police officers and medics. Who went in and out of the WTC when all hell was breaking loose. These men and women climbing those stairs, hosepacks on their shoulders fighting the panicked crowd going down the stairs. They knew their chances of coming out of that building alive were slim and none. The one's who got back out, went back in to help the people of new york and their brothers and sisters. Please, never ever again discount their work, those left behind will never be the same. The memories, the scenes, the discoveries made at the scene will haunt them forever. Some may stumble because of the horrors of this week, but, will go back to serve. Please, pray for all of the people lost this week, but, remember the survivors in your prays, they are the one's who now need god's helping hand.

It is nice to see the World Trade Center towers in one piece. It's just sad to see the Twin Towers in pieces. You know that New York City will never look the same or be the same ever again and that's sad. I'm glad that my cousin Tatum Marchese who is very beautiful got out and was not in the North or South tower. But she was in the #7 tower. She's home and I think she took the job in Long Island or whereever it was. I'm glad that some people got out, but am miserable at the STUPID people who did that. I'm also sad that the people who didn't get out might be dead. I hope there's more survivors somewhere in the rubble, and that everyone will be healed. Thanks for letting me get this out. Condolences from the bottom of my heart to all who have lost family and friends in this horror. My thoughts and support also go out to all involved in the rescue and clear up operation. You will never forget but the pain WILL fade with time. As a medic, I watched the reports, wishing I was there to help in some way. Don't be too hard on your intelligence services. We and Israel have the best intel and security people in the world. Bombs still go off and kill people. Americans have funded terrorists in Ireland for 30 years. Thousands of innocent people (not just soldiers or police) have been killed or mutilated by these cowards who plant bombs and skulk away, spray a bar with an AK47 or snipe with a .50 caliber rifle from half a mile. Faced with someone with the ability to shoot back, they always run like rats. We hear so much in the media about violence, death and disasters that you become hardened to it. It is usually only when the thing happens close to home that you take notice. That is human nature, but no civilised person in the world could help but be horrified at the cruel blow these monsters have perpetrated. They may have destroyed a symbol and many lives but I believe they have mis-judged the American people. The nobility and heroism of so many continues to shine out all over the world in the media.

I don't think anything has ever brought so many tears to my eyes as what has happened to our famous landmarks and the thousands who worked in them. I have been trying to find a good quality JPG on the net of the NY skyline with the WTC to use as my PC's wallpaper - this site is just what I was looking for! This is the way I want to remember NYC. In time, perhaps the skyline will be full again, and the pain will be less, but until then, a picture of the "twins" in all their glory would sure help. Thanks for creating this site - please add more in your time.

Hello all, i to have been very upset about what has happened. I'm a fireman in Michigan so it hits pretty close to home. I'm trying to find a picture of the firmen raising the flag at the WTC. I've only found one so far and that was from the NY post. It's not a bad picture, but i was hoping to find one without any writing on it. I have also seen a picture, that has the firemen on one side and the famous marine picture, where they are raising the falg on the otherside. If you could send me that i would be forever grateful. I want to frame the picture and hang it at the firehall. I'm sure they will eventually have the pictures for sale, but an internet pic will do for now. Just email pic/pics to me. God bless, Mark J. Middle East-At-Large 'Suicide Hijacker' is an Airline Pilot Alive and Well in Jeddah The Independent By Robert Fisk In Beirut Posted Monday September 17, 2001 - 04:14:06 PM EDT Beirut - A man named by the U.S. Department of Justice as a suicide hijacker of American Airlines flight 11, the first airliner to smash into the World Trade Centre, is very much alive and living in Jeddah. Abdulrahman al-Omari, a pilot with Saudi Airlines, was astonished to find himself accused of hijacking, as well as being dead, and has visited the U.S. consulate in Jeddah to demand an explanation. None has so far been forthcoming. It is possible that the hijacker adopted Mr. al- Omari's identity but, if he had been using the same false name while training as a pilot in the U.S., he would presumably have been uncovered. That is not the only error on the [FBI] list of hijackers. The name of Ziad Jarrah, identified as the pilot-hijacker of United Airlines flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania, was misspelt "Jarrahi". He was a Lebanese whose family, living in the Bekaa Valley, spoke to him just two days before his death but who still refuse to believe that he was involved.

Talking about terrorism. We in India have faced it for last 20 years now, and still doing that. Islamic fundamentalists (sic) think they have the smartest brains (read nuts) in the world. They feel they are going to paradise .. what paradise. Tell them to ask their conscience is this what their holy book, the Koran says, and if it really says so, how can it be "holy" ?? We have lost tens of thousands of inoocent people, old agers, children, women and everyone in this terrorism and the loss is too much to bear. Pakistan does all this, funds the terrorist groups and plays all sorts of dirty games to get Kashmir, which was never theirs. And now it wants to eat the cake and have it too. Nevertheless, I hope that Bush has not forgotten that the Taliban militia in Afghanistan got powerful only because of USA when they funded Afghans in their war against erstwhile USSR. Now the child has become stronger than the father. Condolences to all who lost someone in NY. In that case almost everyone here in India needs it. Nobody talks about it.

You seem very nice, just understandably biased to your side. Please understand that Egypt attacked Israel over 30 years ago; Israel defended itself. They are no saints, to be sure. But they are surrounded by hostiles.

To all you Americans out there, Just to share my condolences with ALL of you, whatever race you are, religion you are or colour you are. It makes no difference, we are all humans (ofcourse apart from these stupid people who kill others and TRY to justify it by saying it is a Jihad). I don't want to sound patronising to anyone; life is way too short to start blaming people and hurting people as a result of this horrible act. Why can't we all just live peacefully and love each other, the way God would want us to. Whether your Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc, lets face it, God would love us to be like this, united! And only then can we fight against these other animals who have done what they have. Its no good fighting amoungst ourselves! Being a muslim myself, believe me, I have cried and cried. Although I live in the UK, I have been to the US many times and I really feel the pain and I am sorry, as I am sure many others are. My heart really goes out to all of you. And for those others, Like Jihad, they should be ignored, people like that are not worth wasting your time or breath over. Infact that is exactly what they want, so just ignore him! Once again, my heart goes out to all of you Americans, God bless you all and God bless America. Keep your heads up and show everyone what you're made of! XX

There is so much pain and misery in the world, is it really necessary to cause more. Why should we lower ourselves to their level; does anyone agree with me? The Americans are hurt and so is the rest of the world and that's why at this time, we feel that there is no option but to retaliate-right?! But in the long run, who are we really going to hurt?....ourselves! I think Bush really needs to think long and hard, why can't the Americans talk, that's why we have a intellect, we have a brain so that we can use it to make the right decisions...cats and dogs fight, animals fight. We're human, we can think, is this surely the right way to go about eradicating terrorism? Why can't the Americans look in their direction; maybe their foreign policy has something to do with it, and the fact that they're constantly bombing Iran and the fact that they're supplying arms to Israel and that they walked on on the Afghans.....and on and on?! Maybe, just maybe this might have a little to do with it, or perhaps Im just being cynical.

It is true that Islam is a mighty people. But if I remember correctly, Islam is traced back to Ishamel, son of Abraham who fathered him with a bond maid. God was angry at Abraham for this but said that Ishmael would be great. But that doesn't mean he was the chosen. God chose the bloodline of Isaac, Abraham's son with Sarah. The bloodlines of Christinaity, Judism, and Islam trace back to Abraham. But God chose the bloddline though Isaac to Jesus for our redemption. Isn't your Allah the same as our God? However, Mohammed was not the Savior, Jesus Christ was. There will be an accounting at the end. A great article that puts these events in perspective can be found at www.biblerock.org Click on Offerings and then click on the In Wrath Remember Mercy article. One more thing, I have seen in the Koran where it says that Muslims should kill the Jews and the Christians. That contradicts the other statement about killing someone is like killing all of mankind. As hard as it is right now, we have to say a pray for Islam, Gos help them!

Me and my daddy and sister and brother still pray for her and the other people and there families in this tragety. We just want things to go back to normal but they wont. Thank you so much the people that are helping out.

to Sebby, i have been a muslim for 25 years. i have never ever read a statment in Quran that tells Muslims to kill the christains and Jews. i dont know where did you get this idea from. there are many statement in Koran that tell us that everyone is free to choose his religion and the other parties should respect that. Mohamed our profit was a simple man. he gained nothing to himself from calling people to Islam. he never slept with a full stomack. when he died there was no enought cloth to cover his body. when he called for Islam he did not force anyone to believe in what he said. people were convinced after they found the truth in what he said. i have a christan friend. she is one of my best friends. we go out together, she tells me about what she did in the church, and so do i. you see i am her friend too. not foes to kill each other!!!! there is no contradiction in Islam. Quran is a miracial beyond imagination. see this http://www.it-is-truth.org/ hope to e-mail me your comments. regards

Egyptian Grl: Explain these please. Where's the love? Sebby The Dinner Table [5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people. [5.33] The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His apostle and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement, The Cow [2.191] And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers. The Women [4.91] You will find others who desire that they should be safe from you and secure from their own people; as often as they are sent back to the mischief they get thrown into it headlong; therefore if they do not withdraw from you, and (do not) offer you peace and restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and against these We have given.you a clear authority. The Clans [33.61] Cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a (horrible) murdering.

Dear Inshalla, before you choose to speak on Allahs behalf are you sure of what you are saying? Could it be that the road to victory lies in gifts of kindness and understanding and not in endless retaliation from both sides which has no end except the suffering of innocent people? Think of great men such as Gandhi and Martin Luther King who achieved so much without any violence.I realise that that there is and has been much injustice to the many Islamic people in the middle east, but this is not the solution.Sharron only became a leader on the back of hatred created from reprisals. It is easy to hate and most difficult to forgive. The difficulty lies in fearing peace because it seems like losing, but the greatest victory is in forgiving, not forgetting. That is the highest message of all religion and the greatest philosophers in history. There has been too much suffering,it is time to talk of peace on all sides.

I have an idea, instead of sending in ground troops to Afganistan. Why don't we carpet bomb the opium fields that they have. They are the leading producers of opium and this is how they fund their so called government, the Taliban. If you obliterate an entire problem you don't have to worry about counter-attacks. When does the line have to be crossed to determine who lives and who dies? Was that taken in consideration on September 11th? An eye for an eye. Too bad it has to come to that, but what is done can not be un-done. May God have mercy on the souls who have done this, for damn sure none of us will.

America should not have trained these people in the art of terrorism. When russia invaded afganistan america trained these people in the art of war and even financed them to buy weopons of mass destruction. -All i can say is that war is not the answer. The CIA SHOULDNT! have supplied the Taliban to kill those Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan in 1979. -The object of the terroristr is to start a full scale war (which shall gain them favor) and they want to make it WW3 by tempting Russia (attacking Uzbekistan). -There will be victims. America, Afghanistan, and all world countries will suffer of this. -An overreaction will lead to a bigger American loss. -What they should do is make a peace treaty with those terrorist nations (or leave this alone and throw the money-hogging capitalists to not anger the Taliban). -America has done a lot of harm to other countries and now should not be surprised, but be prepared to deal with this untill they will stop getting into other countries business. EXAMPLE: Imprisonment of Milosevich and Bombing on Yugoslavia -please reply if you would like.

Enquire, Remember the video's of Bin Baby sitting, speaking into his mike with his AK by his side. Well I and my geologist buddies agree that their are only two places in Afganistan were these types of rock formations occur. I have the map coordinates to the exact minutes, however the seconds will need work. Maybe that's were we should commence ops for 2 SAS and 3 TAFT2 units. Cheers

So Mole any news on coordinates?
Mole · October 19, 2001 - 12:48 EST #115
Getting closer Enquire. The regions are Southeast of Paktia and Paktika. This region contains Chromite (Cr). Those rocks behind Bin Baby and his band of merry men is definitely Chromite. I am narrowing it down to Zareh Sharan, Gardeyz or Khowst areas. Many abondoned gem caves in that area. I am looking into it now. Regards
Mole · October 19, 2001 - 13:36 EST #116
Enquire, the caves I am looking at were definitely excavated for water and possibly gems. They are very deep and there are many of them. It looks like there are bunkers in them. We could try Radar and sonar which would only work to a shallow depth. We can use a heat signature with thermal bands in satellites and airplanes, a thermal signature that we can detect comes out of the mouths of some of the caves.

So many people think that the USA is seeking revenge for the WTO destruction. What they really want is JUSTICE! There is a difference! Revenge is when you are angry and want to inflict pain deliberately and maliciously, contrary to the laws of justice and humanity. Justice on the other hand, is the virtue of giving to every one what is his due. Rulers and magistrates have the right and authority to administer justice according to the laws of equity. God give righteous governments the authority to carry out the laws of justice according to the degree and nature of the crime. The WTO destruction was a mass murder, planned, plotted, and premeditately carried out. The USA laws permit governmental assasinations when there is a confession or obvious first degree murder. We unfortunately cannot bring Bin Laden to justice here in the USA, or we would do it! We are on a proper and prudent course, and whether or not we have a coalition of ONE, or twenty one makes no difference. If it wasn't for our money, they would all stab us in the back and bury us! ----- I Love America!!

A huge tragedy to all those involved in the WTC disaster, but as a nation I think that you had it comming. Have you all forgotten that you helped the taliban to come to rule. YOU fought against the northern alliance and stopped them from fighting against the regime of the Taliban. Now you think that you are so hard done by. YOU are all a bunch of hypocrits. These terrorism attacks have been happening to the country of Israel on a daily basis, but nothing has been done to help them, But as soon as it happens to good ole' America, out come the guns and the ammo and it is pay back time. Look at yourselves. You wouldnt help anybody but yourselves. Would you come to our aid if we needed you? Thousands of aussie soldiers are helping you to fight your battle that you started many years ago. If you hadnt been so high and mighty and fight against the Northern Alliance, none of this would have happened. After seeing this disaster unfold on the news every night my sympathy for America has diminished. I only pity your concieted and pathetic attitudes. Do you really think that you are all so important that the world couldnt go on with out you?? I am not saying that what the followers of Osama Bi Laden did was a good thing, I just want you to realise that it was America who started it.... You played the doctor to well and your experiment has turned agaist you.....
pacconi · December 6, 2001 - 21:16 EST #132
how dare you. you've got a lot of guts saying what you did. seriously, how can you say something like that? sure, america has fallen apart morally and made bad choices. we've been involved in things we should have never been involved in. we have also turned our faces away in times of horror in other countries. maybe we aren't the most angelic people the in the world, but what makes YOU so much better? God have mercy on us for our faults, but accusing the US of hypocrasy, foolishness, arrogance, self-centeredness in a time where people can't afford to be calling names and hating america's past mistakes? that's pretty low. of course we would come to your aid. how prideful can you be? would you even accept our help? something tells me you would. something tells me that your disgustingly insensitive attitude and hatred of the states would disappear if we were to come to your country and give everything you and your countrymen what you needed. the united states would not bail out on you. if you needed it, i'm hardcore positive we would come. no doubt.
anonymous · December 7, 2001 - 19:57 EST #133
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT PACCONI!? First of all, Australia has never messed with other countries affairs. The United States is the most involved country in matters that it shouldn't be. Right now it isn't that bad of a time for the people. Ok, lets say the economy went down a little. That doesnt mean anything. Americans are prospering compared to other world countries. What business did it have in Afghanistan 20 years ago? I am glad you at least acknowlege this fact. But the United States started this war! The US soldiers aren't the ones dying. The N. Alliance rebels are. They're just sitting there passing around high tech weapons and bombing. Making other countries do their dirty job. How else does the U.S. prosper?
anon. · December 8, 2001 - 00:04 EST #134
I am disgusted with the attitudes of the Americans. For an example, I was watching the "O'Reilly Factor "on Fox news. There was an debate between O'Reilly and Alex Jones concerning the "War on Terror". O'Reilly wouldnt let Jones get a word in edgeways. O'Reilly(qoute)" I dont care why adolf killed the Jews, I dont care why Osama bombed the WTC." WE have to care. If we dont find out why they did it then it is going to happen again and again. Has anybody mentioned on the news what the Americans did 20 years ago, have they mentioned what they did in East Timor?( now other countries are cleaning up the mess.) Have they mentioned the use of the orange stuff in the Vietnam war, people are still suffering from the effects of that years later. What about the fact that they are so incompetant that they kill some of their own men because of "faulty batteries". Here is a nation so patriotic that they dont admit to their mistakes but try and fix them thinking that no one will remember how it started. AND...How dare America critize Australia for turning away refugees. You havent taken ANY in 3 months. Australia as had atleast 1000 within that time, land on their shores and placed in detention centres. Dont you dare bad mouth them for not taking more in when the simple thruth is that if America hadnt stuffed things up 20 years ago then there wouldnt be the problem of housing these refugees now. I just want the Americans to know that they will end up destroying their own "precious" nation, with their conceited attitudes and narrow minded views.

If it wasn't for oil, the middle east wouldn't be able to light a fire, let alone bomb anything. If it wasn't for the US the middle east would be 99% nomad. Once we stop using middle eastern oil terrorism will decline. Why, because their countries would collapse from lack of income. In fact if it wasn't for the US I doubt that their would even be an internet for me to use to post this message.

I think, what happened on sept. 11, 2001 changed all of our lives. At dinner, my family and I talked about what happened during the day. But every night at dinner we had to watch the news.

Hi. I'm 16 years old and I was in our school's auditorium getting my school picture taken when I heard the newspaper teacher telling another teacher that a plane had just crashed into the world trade center. I rushed back to my classroom and told my teacher...I was one of the first in the class to know. We quickly gathered around the TV and watched the horrid pictures. Some tried the internet. We watched the news all day long, even during lunch. Tears came to my eyes. I couldn't understand what would make a person want to do something that horrible. I went home knowing that there had to be people still alive in the rubble. I wanted to go there so badly and help them out. I couldn't sleep for nights. May God bless America and watch over all those who have lost loved ones. This was an event that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I'll never forget September 11, 2001. I hope that you won't either. Erin

I remember standing in the cafeteria at Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho. The firedrill sounded and we all went outside. It was a bomb-threat. Sitting in first hour we heard the awful news that happened in New York. I looked at my boyfriend and thought "What would I do if I ever lost him?" I thought of all those people in New York City. I went home and cried. It's awful that someone could be happy that they had killed so many people and ruined so many lives. Osama should be found and beating in front of the public eye. He screwed so many people's lives. Death will come Osama, but not swift nor sweet nor painless. You will feel it. GOD BLESS AMERICAN AND ALL OF THOSE WHO WERE AFFECTED BY THIS THOUGHTLESS, HEARTLESS, BRAINLESS ACT. PEACE TO EVERYONE!!!

Muslim · May 9, 2002 - 04:36 EST #169
To Anonymous.. i respected you furthermore when i read your following comments, which criticized US policies to some extent from a humanitarian perspective. your comment to Sebby about her debate with egyptian girl was also very intellectual & rational. thank you for your observation about Jihadi's email address "last supper" which exhibits his reality because i do not think that he is only a radical, i doubt that he is a Muslim at all.. he might be someone who hopes to exhibit Islam in a bloody horrible pictures to make others hate Islam & Muslims, & i already know about such people who do that (without mentioning them)
Muslim · May 9, 2002 - 04:53 EST #170
to sebby: i read your comments to egyptian girl about verses from the quran that you believe show hatred to christians & jews.. i respect your search and readings in Islam but please allow me to tell you my comment. in the Dinner Table 5.51, the word Awleyaa is mistakenly translated into "friends" in the translation you read. i read quran in Arabic which is its original language & i tell you that this word means Allies & not friends, the problem is in the translation that you read.. i will look up that exact explanation for this verse and tell you because it is not that easy to explain verses, you have to connect it to other verses in quraan & hadith in order to reach the true meaning. I wanna tell you that proohet Mohamad was MARRIED to a christian and later to a JEW who converted to Islam after words, & Islam allows marriage between muslims and christians & jews, so how can you say that we cannot be friends if we can marry one another. i personally have many christian friends, & i know i am not doing anything against Islam
Muslim · May 9, 2002 - 05:14 EST #171
to sebby, verse 5.33 is not about christians & jews at all!! its about those who wage war against Allah & the prophet wihtout any further specificatio so how can you such a judgement!! verse 2.191 demands tha muslims fight those who fight them first, which is totally logical & does not refer to christian or jews in anyway, it speaks in general about people who fight Muslims, please refer to the verse that precedes it. verse 4.91 also does not have anything to do with christians & jews, it is about unbelievers, and it says "if they do not withdraw from you or offer peace or restrain their hands" which means if they attack you which appears in the metaphor "did not restrain their hands" which shows that they attack muslims with their hands. in this case Muslims are to fight them back as the verse says, which is also logical i belive. also verse 33.61 talks about unbelievers who pretend to be muslims & live among muslims to find a way t ocause them harm ( we call them Monafeqoon), Allah orders muslims to fight them in order to protect themselves & Islam from them, & the verse does not mention (horrible) murder at all!! who made this word up! the verse reassures killing those who fight Islam but does not describe horrible muredering.. there is something wrong with your translation for sure or in your source of information! waiting for your reply

Here is America.

Playing world police for decades, again and again poking their noses in things that are none of their business, ruthlessly invading other countries for profit, systematically teaching their youngest to hate and kill, self-righteously seperating the world in good and evil according to their opportunistic interests alone, ridiculously proud of technology that they, at best, have derived from what they have stolen before...

When will you learn that those who rule you and those who ruled you in the past are the ones guilty for the hatred you face?
If you seek justice, turn to those people, because they have drenched the American flag in foreign blood
too often.
If you so strongly desire revenge, turn to them.
As you seem to lust for ever more blood, go take theirs.

I wish you could just stop offending the rest of the world for once , but I'm afraid that there are already too many of you who were raised to actually believe that facist, racist and imperialistic nonsense that you call "being a good american".
But I know you won't.
You can't.
Not anymore.

I can already see you riding that bomb, laughing hysterically...

To anyone,

Only Jesus and God is the true Gods. If you are not saved, the Bible says "For the wages of sin is death" and death is eternal separation from God, in hell. This is why it's essential to be saved.
The Holy Bible also says "the gift of God, is eternal life through Jesus Christ." Eternal Life is a FREE GIFT! It is free, because Jesus loves us. He loved us even while we are sinners. He loves us so much, He paid the price of death for our sins.
"if you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus,
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you SHALL be saved." That is what the bible says, it does not say you might be saved, it does not say you will be saved after a while, it says YOU SHALL BE SAVED.
The Bible also says: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Just simply believe in the Truth of God, and ask him for forgivness, and you WILL be saved.

This next verse is also from my school, but it is my favorite Bible verse Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strenght; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

If you are not a Christian, when you die, and are judged before the Almighty God on Heaven, and are not saved, you will be cast down to Hell, and enternal punishment of fire, and never to escape. But if you confess to the Lord Jesus Christ your sins and are forgiven you shall reign for all eternity in the most wonderful place ever, Heaven.

September 11th was the worst day ever in my entire life. I was scared for my life and for others. My heart goes out to the families who lost friends and loved ones in the Trade Centers. We say God Bless America. As soon as this attack happened, churchs that sunday we packed with people who had not gone in the longest time, if they had gone at all. That sunday, people went to get close to God. We started to put our faith in God, and one year later we lose it all. We are right back to where we were before. I am speaking to myself also. Our God, Jesus Christ, is an AWESOME God. Allah is just a false god. My God can actually hear my prayers. My God can answer my prayers. My God is an Awesome God, who sent His son to die on the cross for my sins, so that i could have eternal life!! That is what my God did for me. Let us truely be ONE NATION, UNDER GOD. I WANT A REVIVAL!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
Logan Neal Hall · October 10, 2002 - 17:57 EST #183
GOD SHOULS NOT BLESS AMERICA!!! Why should God bless America in the first place? Look at us, we have bars (The Bible says not to drink strong drink, and keep your senses alert, and if you think that the Bible says to drink and make merry, it does, but back then wine and bear was different, because it was only grape juice and water.) Then, we are one of the leading nations in abortion (The Bible says that if a woman shall kill her baby while inside of the womb, that it is murder, and a sin against God.) Then we have alot of gay people in our nation (it is worse than killing someone, believe it or not. It is a tottal abomination against God. God created Adam and He created Eve, he did not create Adam and Steve, he did not create Amanda and Eve, he created Adam and Eve. And since, God place 2 trees in the garden of eden, the tree of life, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and Eve at from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and right then and their the earth fell into a sinful nature. Because God said that they were strictly not allowed to eat from it. And so God made it to where the woman must submit to her wife, and obey him, but the husband should consider his wife, and love her to his death. Then in America we have teenagers getting pregneat (do not know how to spell it) and other people having sex before marriage, and it is a sin. It is called Fornication, and is considered a sexual sin. Then we have, people commiting suicide, if you are thinking of doing this, remember this: YOU WILL DIE, AND BE ETERNALLY DEAD IN HELL. Because you are taking your life, when God gave it to you. He breathed air into our nostrils with his mouth, and man became a breathing, living soul. And America is a melting pot of FALSE religions, that just try to decieve you from the Word of God, like the following: Muslim, Budhist, Shintoism, Atheism, Astrologist, and so on. And then, america believes in evolution!!! That is a false idea, it is wrong, God created us from the dust of the ground, and when we die, we return to the dust of the ground.
YOU MUST REPENT TO BE SAVED FROM ETERNAL PUNISHAMENT!!!

GOD SHOULD NOT BLESS THE VICTIMS IN THE WTC ATTACK!!

Because, God should only bless true Born Again Christians. And Christians should bless those who persecute them. According to the Bible we should forgive Bin Laden and all the suicide bombers and the people who crashed the airplanes. WHy should we you might ask? Because the Bible says that we need to learn to forgive other people, before God can forgive us.

DO NOT LET ANYONE DECIEVE YOU INTO THINKING THAT DRINKING WINE IS OKAY!!!

Sure, Jesus drank wine during the Last Supper, and before. But keep reading, and pray to God and ask him to reveal the versus to you. And he shall say it in your hear and hide it there. And you shall find out that it is a sin.

PS:// Feel free to email me at logan20062@icqmail.com I will not block you or anything. I will love to recieve emails from people I do not know.

God Bless the true Born Again Christians!

This is a sample prayer to pray to get saved:

Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I realize that I have been living my life for the world. I realize that I have sinned against your will. And Dear God, I ask you to forgive you of my sins. I ask you that, you will come into my heart. I ask that you forgive and forget my sins. I pray that you will save me. I want to be saved, I believe that God (you) sent your only son into the world, to be born of a virgin, and then hung on the cross to pray for our sins. I believe, and I want to be saved.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Logan Neal Hall · October 17, 2002 - 19:34 EST #189
THE US SHOULD NOT SEEK VENGEANCE ON ANYONE!!!

The Bible says, "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

See, God will take care of everything. All we need to do, is love God, and respect Him. All we need to do is, love thy enemy. We should do unto others as we would prefer them to do unto us. And if the others does not do so the same, then God shall punish him.

TRUE HEROS OF FAITH!!!

Stephen-

Fought for the Lord. And defended God, and was stoned to death for it. And still believed in God.
He is a martyer.
COLUMBINE girl-

The Shooter pointed a gun at the girl, he said do you believe in God, and the girl said yes. The Shooter shot her. She is a martyer.

Noah-

Back then it didnt rain, the watter would spread throught the ground watering the plants and filling rivers and such. God told Noah that the earth was beginning to be sinful. And God told Noah (since Noah was good and faithful to him) And God said it was gonna rain and he was gonna flood the earth. So Noah spent 120 years building an ark. To save his family.

Paul-

Paul preached and teached the word of God. And had an upmost faith in God.

And so on.

When you're up against a wall,
And your mountain seems so tall,
And you realize that life's not always fair,
You can run away and hide,
Let the old man decide,
Or you can change your circumstances
With a prayer.
When everything falls apart,
Praise His name,
When you have a broken heart,
Raise your hands and say,
"Lord, You're all I need;
You're everything to me."
And He'll take the pain away.
When it seems you're all alone,
Praise His name.
When you feel you can't go on,
Just raise your hands and say,
"Greater is He that is in me."
You can praise the hurt away
If you'll just praise His name.
You can overcome by the blood of the Lamb
And by the word of your testimony.
You'll see the darkness go
As our faith begins to grow.
You're not alone,
So how can you be lonely?
When everything falls apart,
Praise His name.
When you have a broken heart,
Raise your hands and say,
"Lord you're all I need;
You're everything to me."
And He'll take the pain away,
When it seems you're all alone,
Praise His name.
When you feel you can't go on,
Just raise your hands and say,
"Greater is He that is in me."
You can praise the hurt away.
"Greater is He that is in me."
YOu can praise the hurt away.
If you'll just praise His name.

Hi! there everyone.
I am a human and I love humanity.
I need all of the friends who respect humanity and who love nature. Please have friendship with each other. No religion teaches the fellows to fight with others. It's the concern of their own aims who break up this fire. Please have faith in humanity because

" It is greater of you all."

It has been two years now since the 9/11 attacks. Time moves pretty fast, faster than the hearts of family members' victims to heal I think... One thing is for sure: they are all in Heaven! My heart goes out to all New Yorkers and their beautiful city!!!
PEACE FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have read all entries on this site. There are lots of valid points. There are other entries that cause one to question the author's capability to function without a brain or a heart. Obviously, they have neither. When will we humans ever learn that extremists of any kind (religion, race, etc) are the cause of things like the destruction of the WTC towers, the destruction Pentagon, and the plane crash in the PA field. Those that accept other religions and races with understanding for their differences does not mean that must abide by those differences. Tolerance! Acceptance! Compassion! Love! It does not take a rocket scientist to understand that while EVERY group has faults; they also have good from which we can learn and benefit. We, as humans of different ethnic origins, religious beliefs, political affiliations, sexual orientations, etc, need to stop assuming that we in our "group" are of the RIGHT. Bond with your fellow man. Help others understand that being different is NOT bad. However, be wary of those who cast stones of angry desperation.

I am a member of the US Armed Forces. I enjoy the pictures of New York and I am sorry that many people lost their lives, but how many innocent lives have our own us forces taken. lives that were taken and went unreported. till this day land mines in vietnam, in iraq, and afganistan are being exploded as children play or walk to school. bombs that "accidently" hit the wrong buildings. and lastly, religion is a very powerful thing. it can be used to manipulate minds, causing rage, havok and war. we need to educated our "children" so all the hate and "madness" will stop. "Bless our Earth!" and Bring Our Soldiers Back Home Safe!

(My wife and I are New Yorkers but were living in Atlanta with our 2-month old son when I wrote this.)

On 9-11 my world was rocked forever. People who remember the day President Kennedy was shot told me "You'll always remember where you were when that happened." Well no DUH!! I remember where I was when I first got stitches in my head, scored my first hat-trick, kissed a girl, graduated high school... not to mention when a little thing called the Space Shuttle blew up... "you'll always remember where you were when..." what a stupid concept.

What I will remember is walking in from Dahlia's (Golden Retriever pup) morning run and my wife, Marie telling me "You gotta come see this." I started to wash my hands and said I'd be there in a sec. She then screams "No! You have to see this now!!" I ran to the den and saw the WTC on fire. Katie Couric was reporting that a plane may have hit it and I remember thinking "wow, what a serious accident."

Our astonishment and disbelief soon turned to horror as we watched a second plane hit the other tower. Quickly, our minds began to race with thoughts of Timothy McVeigh and chemical weapons... not to mention very close friends we had who worked high in the towers. Strangely, I went to the basement and started the VCR with a fresh 6 hr tape. (Which I have yet to watch; 2 years later.)

It was then that my friend Rod called me from his office in the U.S. He had heard of the events on the net but it was now moving too slow as cnn.com was overloaded (and eventually shut down). I described the events to him and what possible explanations were being reported. I then told him to get to a TV; drive to a Best Buy if he had to.

In the next instant there was an enormous mile-high cloud of dust and from what I could barely make out on TV... there seemed to be a tower missing, but no one was reporting that because no one could see anything. The dust began to settle, reports began to trickle in, and to our disbelieving, stunned horror I could see that one tower WAS missing. No way. Absolutely NO WAY!! We never imagined this could happen. A bad fire, major structural damage, lot's of people tragically killed? Yes. But not this, not in a million years.

I ordered Rod to skip Circuit City and go home NOW; then we hung up. Marie began to cry and we had a long, emotional hug. We were slack-jawed, glassy eyed and not thinking clearly. As she went to the phone to call Catherine (her Maid of Honor) to check on her husband Simon who worked at the WTC, reports came in that the Pentagon was on fire. Whoa, this was unreal!! Now we were madly channel flipping and then the second tower went down too... we were both sitting on the sofa, clutching Duncan, dazed. We watched CNN for the next two days straight, rallied around the President's moving speech and just tried to make sense of everything.

We soon found out that all 5 of our friends who worked in the towers were OK but sadly, many of their friends and co-workers were not. While Duncan was 2 months old then, Catherine and Simon had a one month old girl named Lucy. Simon worked high in Tower One and since he was a VP for Paine Webber, he was always at his desk by 7:30 am. Well, as fate would have it, Lucy kept him up most of the previous night so he was really late getting to work that day. It was past 10:00 and as if he wasn't late enough to work, he was pissed when for some reason his subway wouldn't go all the way to the WTC stop and he had to get off one stop earlier at Park Place and walk. As he got above ground he couldn't believe what he saw happening... he is currently in counselling and still has nightmares... don't we all.

Guess I'll remember a little more than simply where I was when this gruesome, cowardly and barbaric act took place. I will also remember the victims, their families, all the countries that came to our aid, mourned with us and truly felt our pain. But most of all, I'll remember all the amazing acts of bravery and heroism that crystalize the fiber, soul and resolve of the greatest city on earth.

I am 22 yrs old and from the city. What happened on 9/11 changed the lives of many people, including that of a close friend of mine who lost her mother in the attacks. All i want to say is.... JIHAD is one of the most rediculous things i have ever heard of. What kind of MAN are you to take pride in killing innocent people... a faceless, jealous coward is what you people are. You need to take that towel off your stupid head and realize that NO ONE asked you to come here. You dont like our policies, FINE- LEAVE. I'll even saddle up the camel for you aiiight ?
Joy (from India) · December 5, 2003 - 06:59 EST #213
Hi, I hope an American is reading this...I feel aweful about 9/11, because i lost a loved one to terrorism as well. But you guys had it coming. U know the saying, "as you sow, so shall you reap".

You guys have funded/supported terrorism around the world for too long, basically since the beginning of the cold war in the '50s!! Both Osama and Saddam (who incidentally were enemies of each other before Bush 'cowboy' jr went into Iraq) are American creations, funded and nurtured by America. So is Pakistani terrorism on India, which on the other hand created the Taliban. (in case u dont believe this stuff, i suggest you check it up with some reliable source.) Further, while the terrorist activities of the Palestinians are absolutely unacceptable, so is israel's occupation of Palestinian land and American support of that. But as an American, you probably dont care much about India/Pakistan or Israel/Palestine, just as long as American interests are nicely served. It's all about bringing home the bacon, isnt it ? And maybe selling a few guns and bombs for that, eh ??

You guys have to realize that your government's gi joe attitude has landed the entire world in a mess...yes, many Muslims are not good at co-existing, and being an Indian Hindu, I should know. But then majority of Muslims aren't terrorists...by attacking Iraq, Bush jr just made them want to be terrorists, comprendo ?? Dozens of young Americans are dying in Iraq each day, including Americans of Indian origin. But then, we've been losing tens of thousands of our loved ones in Kashmir for the last 20 years to Pakistani terrorist bullets, all financed by Pakistani/American money. The irony is, half of all global terrorists today are Pakistanis, including many involved in 9/11. I guess you finally know how it feels like to lose a loved one....

American hypocrisy is laughable...u guys preach nuclear disarmament, yet u have the largest stockpile of nukes in the world - enough to blow up the planet many times over. You guys talk about caring for the planet, yet your country is the highest consumer of energy per person, and produces the maximum amount of solid waste and carbon dioxide per person. I could go on and on...America and the world had some hope when Clinton was around. His sexual escapades apart, he had a lot of sense when it came to policy. But u guys just shot yourself in the foot by electing Bush. Tough!

Anyway, what's happened cant be undone, but fences can be mended. First, your hypocrisy needs to stop. Second, you need to be able to criticize yourselves, the way John Lennon and the flower-power of the anti-Vietnam-war '60s was able to. Sure, go out and get Osama and all the other jerks who make a perversion out of a religion...India is right alongside America in the war on terrorism. But then, u have to realize that this wasnt a war against a religion, your country made it.

America needs to live and let live, not live and let die, as it has done for too long. Else, you know what happened to the Romans, right...?

(I welcome any comments/replies)

Gods word says whats in the dark would be brought to the light. And it did on the 11 of september. Gods word also says do unto others as you would have them to do unto you. God is the only one who gives life and not men or women. Gods word says their is a sin that leads to death. But only man or women let them selfs commit that sin and it is not liveing rightously in god word.Gods word says for us to become blind that we may see. Meaning not to lean on are understanding but on gods word. For gods word says love would cover a multuide of sins . Meaning with out love you will not over come evil. May god have mercy on those that could have stoped what happened on the 11,sep. And may god give them that perfect love in their hearts that they need to do right. For gods word says the only way to over come evil is with good. Pray and prepare your selfs for the end is near.

This is in response to Joy (of india). Realy i believe that you have it all wrong. becouse it seems that people have been pouring false ideas into your mind! First of all i would like to tell you that you are wrong about america suporting the terrerest who crashed planes into our buildings and who torcher people not only phisicaly but mentaly. Second of all with clinton (please notice i didnt capitalise his name!) in power we would not have a chance with him. tell me this Joy can a man who "leads" a country realy protect it by down sizeing its military and its armed forces, Becouse that is what clinton did! let me prove this to you. When the curent president Bush's father was in control of our nation we started and ended Dessert Storm in a matter of days. At full military strangth. When Bush's term ended clinton steped into power for 8 eight long years that spun this country upside down. At the end of clintons term our military strangth had been reduced to just about 60% of what it had been before. It is up to W. Bush to now restrangthen our nations military unill it is again down sized by another dem!!Now you just tell me how if clinton was always in charge of our nation would we protect our selves if in just 8 yrs our nations military might could be lowered 40%! Next I would like to talk about your misconception of the problem with nuclear weapons. If our government was going to use those weapons to do harm to the people of this world would they show them off?! No, of course they wouldnt they would hide them like saddam and osoma tryed to do. They would try to destoy people with out eny one knowing! Fourthly you seem to think that John Lennon has the solution to it all. Well im sorry to say that you are wrong! He thinks that if We got rid of our weapons the whole world would just say, "oh they got rid of there weapons they must not want to fight." That belief is based on the usumption that man is basicly good. that idea is wrong man is sinful and basicly bad. He can only be rediemed by faith alone in JESUS CHRIST the one and only true faith to this world. No other faith will get you to heavon not islam not hinduism not eny other. The only way it to call on the name of the lord and you shall be saved! i would welcome eny arguments by eny one!

Sorry, Joy i forgot to mention that it realy is a war againts religion. The two sides are Christianity and islam. it even sayes in the islamic book entitled the coran that islams nead to kill as many infidels (they mean Chistians) as they posibly can. That is how they gain favor and heavan with there pagan god. With the God of the Christians (my Lord and savior) there is no nead to kill and mass murder. The only thing you nead to do is trust him and he will give you eternal life. And he will cleans you from all unrightousness.

I am a 22 year old muslim who would like to explain that the true meaning of 'jihad' is to fight for your land and religion for SELF-DEFENCE only. Many non-muslims and a few muslims unfortunately do not know this. Islam is not a religion of hate, on the contrary it teaches peace and kindness to all. I think more should be done in school's around the world to teach youngsters (and proud ray) about all the major religion's as they play such a big part in today's society. Every good muslim knows that the events of 11/9 were a bad thing as NOBODY is allowed to murder innocent civilians. However America's reaction to this was to drop thousands of bombs on one of the world's most poorest country which led to the deaths of many more innocent cillians. This has created much more hatred among people around the world and this ongoing war (amusingly titled 'war on terror') must be brought to an end by the good american public.

I am a 21 year old law student from texas. I can still remember 9/11 like it was yestaday, truly one of the worst days in our history. I dont think I have seen these pictures before but they are absolutely wonderful. I have to say I agree with Irfan that a lot more religion education needs to be taught in our schools to increase knowledge and understanding about different faiths. I am not happy with our foreign policies and think wars solve nothing but simply create more hatred. I was totally opposed to the war in Iraq, too many lives have been lost on both sides and know we no there was absolutely no threat from them whatsoever. Many Iraqis have lost nearly all their families just so we could catch one man. I hope this is the last war for a very very long time and I hope good muslims like Irfan dont hate us all for our countries dodgy foreign policies.
Ray Moss · March 21, 2004 - 19:41 EST #219
Hello this is ray again with a response to Irfan (from Manchester, UK) you say that your religion of islam is one of peace and love for all. well i am hear to let all those people who read irfan's coment to tell them that islam is not all for peace and love, let me quote from the holy koran "o ye who believe! lo! many of the jewish rabbis and the christian monks devour the wealth of man kind want only and debar men from the way of allah. they who hord up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of allah onto them give tidings of a painful doom! so go ahead and look it up you'll c that obviously muslams hate Christians and Jews. They hate Christians becouse God has so richly blessed us and they know that Christians have the truth so they hate us for it. And muslums hate Jews becouse they are God's chosen people and the muslams know it! And the koran comands all muslam people to hate Jews and Christains and not make friends with them at all. the koran - "take notthe Jews and Christians for Friends." - surah v verse 51. islam is not the answer to the worlds problems and to the personal problems one faces in his/hers own life. koran commands to be pleased in order to get in to "heaven" but Jesus Christ the one and only God asks only that you believe on him and ask forgiveness for your sins and you shall be saved. John 3:16 (from the Bible) - "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that who soever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." Romans 10:12 (from the Bible) - "That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is lord and belive in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved." As you can see the on and only God is love and muhamid is a false religion. in order to get to heavan islam's way you must work. In order to get to heavan Jesus's way you just nead to believe in him!
